6th grade tutoring for students in the METCO program will take place right after school today. Please report directly to the library.

The bus to Boston will leave at 3:30 today.  The late bus in Wellesley also leaves at 3:30. All students need to listen for the PA announcements for their departure from WMS.

Do you have a plan to see The Drowsy Chaperone, Jr. yet? It opens in two days! See the posters outside the Auditorium for more information. And while you’re at it, sign up for auditions for the spring play, Soundscapes! Auditions are next week on Wednesday, March 26th and Thursday, March 27th. Speak with Ms. Speed if you have any questions.

Attention 8th graders: We are looking for 8th grade tour guides for the 5th grade parent/guardian WMS orientation on Tuesday night, March 25th between 6:30-8:30 pm. It’s a great opportunity for you to welcome new families to WMS and share your experiences.  If you are interested, please come down to the main office and submit your name for consideration.

Any 8th graders interested in the WMS tennis team should attend a short 10 minute meeting after school tomorrow, Wednesday, in Mr. Crowe’s room, 231.  Email or see him if interested but you cannot attend.

Planning has begun for the annual WMS Mini Marathon scheduled for Wednesday, May 7th. Part of the planning is creating t-shirts that students will wear during the run. We are looking for 6th and 7th grade designs in blue & yellow, and an 8th grade design which will be red. The 8th grade t-shirts will also have all your names on the back and will be worn for the end of year field trip. This is a great opportunity to show your school spirit! Submissions must be an original design on 8 1⁄2” x 11” paper and dropped off at the Main Office by Friday, March 28th. Any questions, stop by the Main Office, or speak with your Art teacher.

Have a good day everyone!
