We had an incredible weekend of performances of Drowsy Chaperone, Jr., and now we’re gearing up for our final show of the year! Auditions for the spring play, Soundscapes, will take place this week. Anyone can audition, and everyone who auditions will be cast. All students auditioning must prepare a one minute monologue. For a full list of audition requirements, speak to Ms. Speed or see the poster outside the Drama room.

Some exciting news from our Chess Club: Yesterday, four of our talented students, Kevin Zhao (6th grade), Evan Shi (6th grade), Andrew Liu (7th grade), and Ryan Xiao (6th grade), competed in the State Scholastic Team Chess Championship, organized by the Massachusetts Chess Association. It was a long day of competition with four challenging rounds. I’m thrilled to announce that our team earned second place overall! A huge congratulations to our Chess Club members for their hard work and dedication. Great job, everyone!

7th graders: Counselors will visit English classes today to discuss 8th Grade Course Selection. Please see signs posted outside English classrooms instructing you where to go for the lesson.

For Advisories who have not yet completed their Panorama Survey, please make sure students take their surveys by Tuesday, March 25th.

Attention WMS 7th Graders, are you interested in taking the Rock Band Elective next year? If so, please sign up for the 1st official “Rock Band Skills Showcase”! The Skills Showcase is a short individual performance in which you will demonstrate your skills on a rock band instrument for Mr. Thompson. The showcase will be held in Room 333 this week Monday through Thursday. Please scan the QR code in the main office or counseling office, and fill out the Google form to sign up for a showcase time. Instruments will be provided and we hope to see you there!

We’re still looking for t-shirt ideas for the 6th, 7th and 8th grade. Hoping to get more options, especially from our 8th graders.  Please consider working on an idea this week and bringing it to the Main Office by Friday.

The bus to Boston will leave at 3:30 today.  The late bus in Wellesley also leaves at 3:30. All students need to listen for the PA announcements for their departure from WMS.

Have a good day everyone!
