For 6th, 7th, and 8th graders interested in running on the WMS Track Team this spring, there will be an informational meeting next Tuesday, April 1st at 2:45 in the Cafeteria.
As part of the MA State Project 351 2025 mission, led by 8th graders Aidan Guild and Dylan Casey, there will be a collection of new and gently used clothes for all ages to donate to the organization Cradles to Crayons. The drive starts next week on Tuesday, April 1st, and goes until the following Friday, April 11th. The collection bins will be set up inside the main entrance of the school (Kingsbury doors). Please be sure to spread the word to friends and family. The donated clothing will be going to children all across the state who are in need of clothing. Feel free to reach out to Dylan and Aidan with any questions!
Are you curious about what some people in our WMS community will be celebrating this weekend? It is the Muslim holiday of Eid al Fitr. Eid begins with the sighting of the crescent moon. Eid is the end of the month-long fasting of Ramadan. Eid al-Fitr translates from Arabic as the “festival of breaking the fast”and is when the entire Muslim community comes together to celebrate the completion of this annual act of devotion. Muslims celebrate Eid by going to a mosque for prayer, spending time with friends and family, exchanging gifts and feasting. We wish all people at WMS observing this holiday “Eid Mubarak.”
There will be no late bus to Boston today. All students from Boston need to take the 2:30 pm bus.
WMS will be closed on Monday, March 31st in observance of Eid al-Fitr.
Have a good day everyone!
