Teachers: please check your email for students who need to make up the ELA MCAS. Students should report to Room 204 following the morning announcements this morning.

In March, Grade 7 and 8 students took part in a national Latin test that evaluated their skills and knowledge in Latin as compared to students across the country. 82% of WMS students who took the exam scored higher than the national average and received awards!  We had six gold medals and one silver medal, along with nine certificates of award.  A special congratulations to the top scorers: Daya Clarke in grade 7, and Yixi Lin and Athena Wang in grade 8.  BENE FACTUM!  (pronounced “BEH-NEH FACT-UHM”).

Yearbook ordering has been extended. If you would like to purchase a yearbook for the end of the year, please have your parent or guardian use the link posted around the school by this Thursday, April 17th . If you have any questions please email Ms. Steinberg.

Are you curious about what some people in our WMS community will be celebrating?  Yesterday began the New Year celebration in South East Asia. New Year in South East Asia is celebrated based on the astrological event of the sun beginning its northward journey. Traditional dance, singing and cultural shows are performed together during the festival. Young people usually visit elders to pay respect during this holiday. We wish all people at WMS observing this holiday, a “Happy New Year.”

Songlab is canceled today after school, but will meet again after April break. Please check the Google Classroom for more information.

The bus to Boston will leave at 3:30 today.  The late bus in Wellesley also leaves at 3:30. All students need to listen for the PA announcements for their departure from WMS.

Have a good day everyone!
