WMS Daily Announcements for 10/8/2025

Reminder to all students: Picture Day is tomorrow, Thursday, October 9th. 

Today is a half day. Teachers will be in meetings so all students must leave the building at the 11:21 dismissal. There will be no late buses to Boston or Wellesley. All students who are going into town today, please remember that you are representing yourself, your families, neighborhoods, and our school. You have been given the privilege of independence and you must show that you can manage it. Please be respectful to each other as well as to store employees, other shoppers, and clean up after yourselves, especially after you eat.

The Spirit Wear Store will be open at the Donizetti entrance from 11:20 until noon today.

This morning, our WMS building will engage in its annual All-school Safety Training from 9:06-9:36. All students should report directly to Advisory during this time. Teachers, you should have the video, which was posted in Google Classroom by me, queued up and ready to show prior to students arriving. I will prompt you when to show it. Also, the WPD and I will make a final decision later this morning about whether or not to practice an actual evacuation that results in being outside. Due to rain, we may change this part of the drill to only be a thinking simulation with your Advisors. Advisors, please check our Faculty Google Classroom for posted scenarios you can use, if needed. This training is important for our entire community, so please plan on giving it your full attention and participation. We are safer as an entire community when we know that others prioritize safety and know what to do in an emergency. I look forward to our time together later this morning.
