The answer to yesterday’s Black History Month trivia question is Harlem. The Harlem neighborhood in New York City became a hub for Black artists, writers, and musicians in the 1920s. Today’s question is “Who was the first Black basketball player in the NBA?” If you think you know the answer, come down to the Main Office to make your guess.
The 8th Grade Chorus will join forces with the singers from Wellesley High School at tonight’s Choral Step Up Concert. If you’re interested in singing, this is a great opportunity to see the many different chorus ensembles that will be offered next year. The concert is in the Wellesley High School auditorium and starts at 7:00 pm. It is free and we hope to see you there!
Tomorrow is Undercover Advisory Theme for Spirit Week! Work with your Advisory to dress in a theme and keep it simple. We will see if other Advisories can guess the theme.
Lost and found is piling up again. Please check the table outside the main office for any items you may have lost. Older items may be donated over the February break.
The Yearbook Club will be meeting after school today in Ms. Martell’s Room 306.
The More Art Please Club will be meeting today after school instead of Wednesday this week.
7th grade students in Ms. Moore’s tutoring program, please report directly to the library after school today.
The bus to Boston will leave at 3:30 today. The late bus in Wellesley also leaves at 3:30. All students need to listen for the PA announcements for their departure from WMS.
Have a good day everyone!
Please note that the daily announcements are sometimes subject to change during the school day. When this happens the announcements will be updated on the website and on the video screen in the WMS lobby, but a new email will not be sent.
