~Today is Tuesday March 17, 2026, Day 2
~Block rotation: B, C, A, Advisory, D, F, G, E
~Lunch: 6, 8, 7
In regards to yesterday’s power outage, I wanted to thank everyone who remained calm and kept our building safe. The power outage was due to general outages in the area we think caused by weather. Any unusual smells were from the backup generators kicking in, so all should be fine this morning. Also, until further notice, the Auditorium is off limits to all students and classes. We remain with limited lights in this space. We will let you know when it is safe to reoccupy the space.
The following classes will be moved out of the Auditorium today:
Ms. Fine’s Period 2, Block C and Period 3, Block A classes will meet in Room 335.
Mr. Thompson’s Period 5, Block F class will meet in Room 343 and Period 7, Block E class will meet in Room 400.
Attention 7th graders: On Thursday, March 19th counselors will be teaching 8th grade course selection during Math classes. Please check signs posted outside Math classrooms for your room assignment.
Any 8th graders interested in the WMS Tennis Team this spring should attend a short meeting tomorrow, Wednesday after school in Room 321 with Mr. Crowe.
We are looking for student t-shirt designs for our Grade 8 end-of-year activities. Please submit a design on an 8-½” by 11” sheet of paper to the Main Office no later than this Thursday, March 19th. If you have questions please speak with your Art teacher or the Main Office staff.
The Chess club is canceled today after school, but will be rescheduled for next week.
The Robotics Club meeting is canceled today after school but will meet on Thursday this week instead. Please email Mr. Foley with any questions.
The Puzzle Club will be meeting after school on Thursday this week instead of Tuesday.
7th grade students in Ms. Moore’s tutoring program, please report directly to the library after school today.
The bus to Boston will leave at 3:30 today. The late bus in Wellesley also leaves at 3:30. All students need to listen for the PA announcements for their departure from WMS.
Have a good day everyone!
Please note that the daily announcements are sometimes subject to change during the school day. When this happens the announcements will be updated on the website and on the video screen in the WMS lobby, but a new email will not be sent.
