~Today is Wednesday April 8, 2026, Day 4
~Block rotation: Advisory, A, B, E, C, D, F, G
~Lunch: 6, 8, 7
The first day of ELA MCAS is this morning. At this time, all students should be in Advisory. If you are not, you can move to the right location after I’ve completed these morning announcements. The testing period will last from approximately 7:45 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. Bells will be turned off all day and the periods will be called over the PA system. During the testing, no iPads should be used outside of the test itself. If leaving the classroom is necessary, teachers should highly monitor the reasons and timing. Also, only one person should be out of the room at any given time. As always, students should not be using this time to socialize when outside of class.
For tonight, please remember to fully charge your iPads for tomorrow’s test. Teachers, no homework should be assigned and due tomorrow. Finally, MCAS is used to support individual growth and school improvement. Please do your very best on both test sessions. Good luck!
If you are an 8th grader and would like to be a guide for our Grade 5 student visits, please come down to the main office by Friday, April 10th and let us know you are interested. We will do a lottery to select the guides.
For 6th, 7th, and 8th Grade girls interested in playing on the WMS softball team this spring, there will be an informational meeting today at 2:45 pm in the cafeteria.
The bus to Boston will leave at 3:30 today. The late bus in Wellesley also leaves at 3:30. All students need to listen for the PA announcements for their departure from WMS.
Have a good day everyone!
Please note that the daily announcements are sometimes subject to change during the school day. When this happens the announcements will be updated on the website and on the video screen in the WMS lobby, but a new email will not be sent.
