~Are you curious about what some people in our WMS community will be celebrating today? Today is the New Year in South East Asia.
New Year in South East Asia is celebrated based on the astrological event of the sun beginning its northward journey. Traditional dance, singing and cultural shows are performed together during the festival. Young people usually visit elders to pay respect during this holiday.
There are students at WMS who will be observing this holiday today. We wish all people at WMS observing these holidays a “Happy New Year.”
~Grade 8 students who would like to be a tour guide for Grade 5 Visits in May please come to the Main Office to fill out the form to be entered into a drawing. Names will be picked the week we return from break.
~Students fasting for Ramadan and would like a separate space, you have the option to go to the following classrooms for your lunch period:
Ms. Holcomb Rm 221 for grades 6 and 7
Mr. Harvey Rm 216 for grade 8
~If you would like to participate in spring track, you must register online and have an updated physical on file with the nurses by tomorrow!
~Friendship Club is canceled today.
