Reminder to 8th grade students: Tomorrow, Friday March 17 is the due date for the Emerging Artist Award scholarship. The award is for a specialized teen art class you can take this summer or next year! If you have any questions, please see Ms. Steinberg.
Today during lunch, 8th grade girls are invited to join Mrs. Dufour in room 310 for dynamic discussions about middle school experiences and what to expect for high school. Bring your lunch, treats will be provided and friends are always welcome!
8th graders: Your signed verification forms are due in Room 312, Student Services, this Friday, March 17. Please place your verification form in the tray that has your counselor’s name on it.
Just a reminder: All 8th grade students – update your iPad iOS to 10.2.1. If you need any assistance, please visit the Tech Deck.
7th and 8th grade girls: Softball meeting has been postponed until sometime next week.
This Friday, 3/17 is the all-school ShamRock dance. Since it is St. Patrick’s Day, you may want to be wearing something green. The dance is from 7- 9 p.m. and the cost is $5 at the door.
Attention all 8th graders: The 8th grade t-shirt design contest is under way. One student design will be chosen for the t-shirt that all 8th graders will wear for Community Service Day and the Mini Marathon. Submit your design to the main office by Wednesday, April 5th. The winner will be announced the following week. If you have any questions, please see Ms. Steinberg.
National Latin Exam will be held tomorrow, same period. Please bring sharpened #2 pencils and go directly to the cafeteria from homeroom.
Attention all musicians: the ChorusLab club will begin next Monday after school. In this club we will arrange a new song every week and you will learn how to accompany yourself on guitar, ukulele or keyboard. Everyone is welcome to join! Again, we play every Monday from 2:30 – 3:20 in room 400.
The 6th grade chorus is performing with the Wellesley Symphony Orchestra this Sunday at 3 p.m. at the Mass Bay Community College. The concert also features narration by Mr. Hagaar-McKee and a visit from Tubby the Tuba. Before the concert, at 1:30, there is an instrument petting zoo where you can try out all sorts of instruments like harps and cellos. See Miss Connors or any member of the 6th grade chorus about tickets.
BRCC Community Center Tutoring is open today from 4 – 6 p.m. Come work on your assignments!
