Are you curious about what some people in our WMS community will be celebrating this weekend?  Friday is the Christian observance of Good Friday, and Sunday is the Christian holiday of Easter. This year Christian and Orthodox Christian Easter holidays will be on the same date. Good Friday commemorates the death of Jesus, and is one of the holiest days for Christians. It is a sorrowful holiday, which is spent in reflection. Easter is a day of joy and celebration, and it commemorates the day that Christians believe that Jesus rose from the dead (was resurrected). Christians often go to church, which are filled with flowers to represent new life. Easter Day is the end of Lent and means the end of some people’s fasting. Families often gather to share a big meal and spend time together.  We wish all people at WMS observing these holidays, a “thoughtful Good Friday,” and a “happy Easter”.

Tutoring for 8th grade students in Ms. Moore’s tutoring program is canceled after school today.

The Formula 1 Club will be postponed until after the break.

The bus to Boston will leave at 3:30 today.  The late bus in Wellesley also leaves at 3:30. All students need to listen for the PA announcements for their departure from WMS.

Lost and found is piling up. Please check the table outside the main office for any items you may have lost. Older items will be donated over April break.

Have a good day everyone!
