The Graphic Novel Book Club will be meeting today during all three lunches in Room 332.

Calling all artists…if you would like your artwork honored on the Auditorium walls…submit a drawing for the 8th grade Banner by Friday, May 16th. See the bulletin board in the Main Office for details.

Are you curious about what some people in our WMS community celebrated yesterday? Yesterday was the Buddhist holiday of Buddha’s Birthday.

Buddha’s Birthday is a celebration of the life and enlightenment of Siddhartha Gautama, the founder of Buddhism. Buddha Day is celebrated in various nations in East and Southeast Asia and has different names as well. The dates vary based on the calendar used, but the holiday is usually celebrated during late April to early May. Yesterday’s date is based on the calendar used in South Korea and China (among other countries). We wish all people at WMS who observed this holiday “health, happiness and peace.”

6th grade students in Ms. Moore’s tutoring program, please report directly to the library after school today.

The bus to Boston will leave at 3:30 today.  The late bus in Wellesley also leaves at 3:30. All students need to listen for the PA announcements for their departure from WMS.

Have a good day everyone!
