We’d like to thank everyone for a very successful Mini-Marathon yesterday. A special shout out to parent volunteers, Ms. Chong and our Main Office staff for their coordination efforts, and our Fitness and Health Department who includes Ms. Frazer, Ms. McCarthy, Ms. Sciera, Ms. Cannell, Mr. Fredericks, Mr. Johnson, Mr. Greeley, and their Department Head Ms. Grant for all your hard work on making this event happen. It’s been 20 great years of community spirit at WMS.
Tutoring for 8th grade students in Ms. Moore’s tutoring program is canceled today after school due to MCAS.
The bus to Boston will leave at 3:30 today. The late bus in Wellesley also leaves at 3:30. All students need to listen for the PA announcements for their departure from WMS.
Drawings for the 8th grade banner are still being accepted. See the Main Office bulletin board for more details.
MCAS Session I for Math is today for all grades. At this time all students should be in Advisory. The testing period will last from approximately 7:45 – 10:30 a.m. No iPads should be used outside of the test itself. Time outside of the classroom should be highly monitored by teacher discretion and kept to an absolute minimum. No more than one student should leave the classroom at a time. Bells will be turned off all day and periods will be called over the PA system. MCAS is used to support individual growth and school improvement. It is important that all students take the test with their very best effort.
