Congratulations to the students in the WMS Concert Bands and Jazz Bands who performed in last night’s Winter Band Concert. It was a wonderful night of music and bravo to all of these students for their hard work preparing for the concert.
Congratulations to Carver Shah for correctly answering the library question of the week: “What is the name of the winter themed ball featured in Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire?” The answer is the Yule Ball! Thanks to everyone who participated. Try again next week!
Anyone interested in signing up for the WMS fencing program next spring can pick up a sign-up form on the intramural board or in the main office. All forms need to be turned into Mr Johnson no later than March 19th. Any questions, please see Mr. Johnson.
Are you curious about what some people in our WMS community will be celebrating starting this weekend? Sunday evening begins the 8 day Jewish holiday of Hanukkah. Hanukkah is the Jewish festival of rededication, also known as the Festival of Lights. Jewish people celebrate the holiday by lighting candles, eating traditional fried foods and spending time with family. It has become a custom of some Jewish people in the United States to also get gifts on the holiday. We wish all people at WMS observing this holiday, Happy Hanukkah!
There will be no 3:30 pm bus to Boston today. All students riding to Boston will be taking the 2:30 pm bus. The late bus in Wellesley will leave at 3:30 pm.
Have a good day everyone!
Please note that the daily announcements are sometimes subject to change during the school day. When this happens the announcements will be updated on the website and on the video screen in the WMS lobby, but a new email will not be sent.
