~Today is Friday February 13, 2026, Day 3

~Block rotation: C, A, B, Advisory, D, G, E, F

~Lunch: 6, 7, 8

No loaner iPads will be given out today due to the need to collect them before break.

The answer to yesterday’s Black History Month trivia question is hair products. Madam CJ Walker was the first Black female self-made millionaire who made her money by creating and selling hair products for Black women. Today’s fun fact is: The Black Lives Matter Movement started in 2013 and was founded by three Black women, Patrisse Cullors, Alicia Garza, and Opal Tometi. After break we will share the winner of this week’s trivia and have a new set of trivia questions created by our 8th Grade United Scholars Class.

Sign-ups are still open for the WMS fencing program this spring. You can pick up a sign-up form on the intramural board or in the Main Office. All forms need to be turned into Mr Johnson no later than March 19th.  Any questions, please see Mr. Johnson.

Lost and found is piling up again. Please check the table outside the main office for any items you may have lost. Older items may be donated over the February break.

Are you curious about what some people in our WMS community will be celebrating over February break? Lunar New Year, Ramadan, and Lent will all begin next week. Tuesday is Lunar New Year which is the most celebrated holiday in China, Korea and south east Asian countries. The holiday includes a New Years Eve Feast, eating special foods, and paying respect to ancestors.Tuesday evening begins Ramadan which is an important holy month in the Muslim calendar. During Ramadan, Muslims do not eat or drink from sunrise until sunset. Wednesday starts the Christian season of Lent.  Lent is meant to prepare your spirit for Easter by giving up something you enjoy eating or doing, asking forgiveness, and praying. We wish all people at WMS celebrating these holidays, a happy holiday.

There will be no 3:30 pm bus to Boston today. All students riding to Boston will be taking the 2:30 pm bus. The late bus in Wellesley will leave at 3:30 pm.

Have a good day everyone!

Please note that the daily announcements are sometimes subject to change during the school day. When this happens the announcements will be updated on the website and on the video screen in the WMS lobby, but a new email will not be sent.
