Congratulations to Colin Sid for knowing that the assistant principal who’s worked at WMS longer is Ms. Gordon! Colin can stop by the library to claim his prize! This was the final Library Question of the Week winner for the school year; thanks to everyone who participated and we look forward to testing your trivia knowledge in the fall!
I want to congratulate all of our students in the METCO program for a successful awards ceremony last night. It was a wonderful event! Great job to all of our middle school students on their academic success and progress, and citizenship. Also, a shout out to all former WMS students who are graduating Wellesley High School today. Congratulations and we continue to be so proud of you!
Attention all 8th graders, your field trips are coming up next week! Registration online through WebTrac SchoolPay is required for the Scavenger Hunt and a hard copy consent form which is being distributed in Advisory is needed for Community Service Day. Please work with your parent/guardian to complete these forms. You will not be able to attend without them. Also, you will need to wear your red Grade 8 class t-shirts for both trips.
We are opening live auditions for the Grade 8 Completion Assembly this year. Auditions will be held on Wednesday, June 10th from 2:40 – 3:15 pm in the Auditorium for interested 8th grade students. Please sign up in the Main Office for an audition slot. If you are interested, but you have concerns and/or conflicts with the date, please let us know. Come prepared to perform your song, artistic performance, and/or musical instrument. We’ve had many acts sign up, and we’re excited to see you perform! If you have questions, see Dr. Ito, Mr. Adams, or the Main Office.
Today is the last day to check out books from the library and all library books are due next Tuesday, June 9th. Please take a minute over the weekend to gather any books you may have at home so they are ready to be returned on Tuesday.
There will be no 3:30 pm bus to Boston today. All students riding to Boston will be taking the 2:30 pm bus. The late bus in Wellesley will leave at 3:30 pm.
Have a good day everyone!
Please note that the daily announcements are sometimes subject to change during the school day. When this happens the announcements will be updated on the website and on the video screen in the WMS lobby, but a new email will not be sent.
