Fiske Families,

Where in the World is Mrs. McGregor with Ms. Gayner

We had a Fisketastic Hallloween at Fiske. Above is one of my favorite costumes, Ms. Gayner dressed up as Where in the World is Mrs. McGregor.  For the first time since I have been Principal we had to have the parade inside.  The feedback from both the parents and children was the parade was a huge success.

The Wellesley Dental group is once again doing a candy drive for the troops.  The school that collects the most candy will get a $1,000.00 donated to their PTO.  Please consider donating your extra Halloween candy to our collection. Children are also encouraged to write notes to our troops thanking them for their service.  These notes can be passed into the office.

Parent/Teacher Conferences

Next week parent/teacher conferences will begin.  This is a wonderful time to talk with your child’s classroom teacher about your child’s progress at this time.  Teachers will be spending a few moments sharing a Standards Based Report Card sample and brochure. For more information regarding this new report card please click on this link.

Picture Retake Day

If you would like your child’s picture retaken, or your child was not here on picture day, picture retake day will be on Thursday, December 5th.  For more information please see the below attachment.

Save the Date for PTO Speakers

This year the PTO Board has been working to have speakers present at each PTO meeting.  In September we had Superintendent, Dr. David Lussier and the School Committee present on the HHU project. In October we had the new Director of Diversity, Equity and Inclusion, Dr. Charmie Curry talk with parents about her new role and work moving forward.  We are very pleased to announce our November and December speakers are:

  • Thursday, November 14th at 7:00 p.m. Our School Psychologist Sharon Grossman will be speaking with parents about childhood anxiety and heightened stress during the holiday seasons.

  • Friday, December 13th at 8:45 a.m. Dr. Mark Klein from HRS will come to speak with parents about managing technology and screen time in the home.

More information will follow but please mark your calendars and join us for these two informative meetings.
