Kindergarten Welcome

Dear Fiske Kindergarten Families, 

Welcome Kindergarten class of 2024-2025. The Fiske community is thrilled to welcome your child/children to school. Kindergarten is a wonderful year filled with both social and academic learning. We look forward to having your child/children at Fiske to be part of our Fisketastic community of learners.

Our  Kindergarten teachers this year are Ms. Jennifer Brophy, Ms. Mark and  Ms. Rebecca McLeod.  Each classroom has 1 Kindergarten Teaching Assistant (TA). Kindergarten is a full day program; on Mondays, Tuesdays, Thursdays and Fridays, students arrive at 8:30 a.m. and are dismissed at 3:05 p.m. On Wednesdays, students arrive at the same time, but are dismissed at 12:00.

During a school week, your child will participate in Music, Art, Health & Fitness, Spanish and Library. Our school nurse, Mrs. Kayla Lacerra, is here to help your child with their health needs during the school day. Our school secretary, Ms. Sue Drayton, is always happy to answer any logistical questions you may have. At Fiske, we are all working to create a smooth transition for your Kindergartener.  

Parents and guardians are invited to attend our Kindergarten Orientation Night on Thursday, May 2 from 6:00–7:00 p.m. This is an event for parents/guardians to learn more about Fiske School. During this time, you will be able to sign your child up for a 30 minute assessment scheduled for Wednesday, May 22nd between 8:45–11:45 a.m. Your incoming Kindergarten children are invited to visit our Kindergarten classrooms on Wednesday, May 29th from 1:00–2:00 p.m.
