Q. What is the web address for PowerSchool?

A. The Wellesley Public School District’s PowerSchool portal address is: https://wellesley.powerschool.com/

Q. Can I use my Smartphone or the PowerSchool App to update my Annual Permissions?

A. You may update your Annual Permissions using a phone web browser (such as the Android Chrome browser or the iPhone Safari browser), however please be aware that the PowerSchool App does NOT include the Annual Update tab.

Q. I’ve never used the Parent Portal before. How do I get my username and password?

A. On September 8, 2020 an email was sent out to parents/guardians with their username. To set your initial password go to the WPS PowerSchool Parent Portal and click “Forgot Username or Password?” Enter the Parent Username and Parent Email Address you received via email. Check your email for a unique link to set your password.

Q. I did not receive an email with my username, how do I login?

A. Please contact your student’s school’s main office to get your username and make sure that your correct email address is on file with the school in PowerSchool. Click for a list of school addresses and phone numbers.

Q. I can’t remember my username?

A. Go to the WPS PowerSchool Parent Portal and click on the link labeled “Forgot Username or Password?” Then, click on the Forgot Username tab. Type in your email address and click Enter. Your username will be sent to you by email.

Q. I can’t remember my password?

A. Go to the WPS PowerSchool Parent Portal and click on the link labeled “Forgot Username or Password?” Then, click on the Forgot Password tab. Type in your username and email address and click Enter. You’ll be sent a link to reset your password. Please note, this link is valid for only 30 minutes.

Q. I no longer have access to my email address on file with the school and so I cannot reset my password

A. Please contact your student’s school’s main office to update your email address on file in PowerSchool.  Click for a list of school addresses and phone numbers.

Q. Can I change my password?

A. Yes, once you have logged on to your Parent Single Sign On account, you’ll notice the Account Preferences icon located in the left-hand menu. Click on Account Preferences to change your username, password, or email address.

Q. What happens if I change my email address?

A. It is very important for the Parent Portal to have your correct email address. It is used by the “Forgot Username” and “Forgot Password” processes. Once you have logged in you can view and update your email address on the Account Preferences link in the left-hand menu. Once an email address has changed, an automatic email notification will be sent to both the old and new email addresses, for added security.

Q. I have multiple children in the district. Can I have access to all their accounts under just one username and password?

A. Yes, PowerSchool’s Parent Portal Single Sign On allows parents to have access to all of their children’s accounts from just one username and password.

Q. Can each parent/guardian in the family have their own login to PowerSchool?

A. Yes, please have the second parent/guardian contact your student’s school’s main office to request their own username and make sure that their correct email address is on file with the school in PowerSchool. Click for a list of school addresses and phone numbers.

Q. Can other people see my child’s grades and information?

A. As long as you protect your password, others will not be able to see your child’s information.
