FRIDAY ASSEMBLY
On Friday, we had our kickoff assembly for the Project Build Hardy initiative. See more information below.

PROJECT BUILD HARDY INITIATIVE
We have just rolled out a STEM based learning initiative for the 2023-2024 school year that is tied to the school building project. We are calling this initiative Project Build Hardy. This initiative was planned by the Hardy School Council and is being funded by a generous grant from WEF (Wellesley Education Foundation). Each month there will be a different theme that ties to a different aspect of design or construction. These themes will be presented by guest speakers (who are tied to the various focus areas) who will lead schoolwide presentations as part of monthly assemblies. Students will then take part in hands-on classroom-based activities that will help to reinforce learning concepts.

The Project Build Hardy monthly themes will include:
October- Launch of initiative
November- Architecture & Design
December- Introduction to Construction
January- Foundation/Structure
February- Mechanical Systems
March- Plumbing
April- Electrical
May- Landscape & Playground Design

Stay tuned for more information about Project Build Hardy and the work of the Council in future Principal letters.

Have a great week!

Respectfully yours,
Grant Smith
