Dear Sprague Community, It’s hard to believe that January is almost over already! 2016 is moving fast already! You should have received information about the Teacher raffle in your child’s backpack. Students can enter to win special time with a teacher! Many of the items have the specific date of March 2, so check the list before you take a chance. This is a great fundraiser for our PTO. Progress Reports will be sent home on Friday, January 29th in student backpacks. Please keep in mind that students are marked on end of grade level expectations, so most students will be progressing or developing these skills at this point in the year. You can expect to see 2’s and should not necessarily think that means your child is below grade level. As always, if you have questions, please feel free to contact your child’s teacher. There will be parent conference times coming up in March as well. Teachers will send out sign up information when the time approaches. Gentle Reminders: With the cold weather, we must remind parents that cars should be parked in marked spaces only. Please do not park your car at the end of an island or alongside an island. This impedes the flow of traffic in our lot and creates dangerous situations for those walking in the lot due to lack of visibility. This is especially true when there is snow on the ground. Thank you for your help. Please try to account for cold weather issues (cars, snow clothes, etc.) so that students arrive at school on time. Students enter the building at 8:25 and should unpack quickly so they are in their classrooms by 8:30. Thank you for your help. We know it isn’t easy.   Grade 5 Parent Night at WMS Change in date for Grade 5 Parent Night at WMS.   Grade 5 Parent Night has been changed to: Thursday, March 17th from 6:30-9:00pm.   Kindergarten Roundup If you have a child who will be 5 by September 1, 206, its time to sign up for kindergarten.   Come to the Kindergarten Roundup Feb. 10 from 3:00-6:00 PM in the Sprague library or March 5 from 9:00-12:00 in the Sprague library   Other kindergarten dates: March 17: Parent Information Night from 6:00-7:30 in the Sprague library May 5: Kindergarten Screening—by appointment   Nice to hear… At Sprague, we try to teach kids to use their HEART values each and every day.
