Dear Sprague Community,
We are in the midst of a seemingly ‘normal’ week so far. The temperature is more seasonal. Students have been out to play. Classrooms are humming along in that mid winter mode. It is also getting close to the time when we ‘round up’ the next batch of kindergartners for the next school year. Keep in mind that the child must turn 5 before August 31st to be eligible. The First Round up will take place on Jan. 31st at Sprague from 3-6 PM. Look for registration information on the district website later this week.
As the district’s five-year Strategic Plan is in its 5th and final year, we begin to plan for the next Strategic Plan. This involves input from many stakeholders and a very thoughtful process. At the school and district level, educators have engaged in conversations about 21st Century skills and what we would like the Profile of a Wellesley High School Graduate to look like. The district has engaged a consultant, Ken Kay, to help us with some of this work. There will be a Task Force to gain input from parents and stakeholders. Please check the following link to see information about this Task Force and how to apply if you are interested.
Author and consultant Ken Kay will be visiting Wellesley and will give a presentation for parents on January 22nd. Please see the attached information.
