Dear Sprague Community,
Our Ice Cream (and Pizza) Social will take place tonight at 6 PM rain or shine. Since we order so many pizzas, we are unable to cancel the order at the last minute. The forecast is for ‘possible storms,’ so we will set up outside, weather permitting, and hope to be able to remain outside. We will have a ‘storm tracker’ parent watching the radar and have the ability to move indoors if needed.
When we have outdoor events, we leave the recess door closest to the cafeteria on the playground side unlocked for bathroom access. The bathrooms are located in the atrium area past the cafeteria to the left. We hope you will join us for a fun evening of pizza and ice cream!
Correction from Weekly Note: The Instrumental Music Demonstration for Grades 2-5 is Sept. 7 at 8:45. Parents are welcome to come see instrument options. More information about how to sign up for instrumental music lessons through the Wellesley Public Schools will be coming soon. The Summer Reading Assembly is Sept. 14, so you still have next week to send in reading logs and photos to Ms. Jauniskis in the library.
I am also attaching the flyer for Sprague After School Enrichment offerings for the fall. We partner with the Wellesley Recreation Dept. to offer after school classes on site. Registration is through the Recreation Dept. website.

Our Back to School Night is next Wednesday, Sept. 12 from 6:30-8:00 PM. This is an evening for parents to come learn about curriculum and meet the teacher. Children DO NOT attend this event. Here is the schedule for the evening:
6:30-7:00—Teacher presentations in classrooms: Grades 3, 4, 5
7:05-7:25—Principal presentation for all in the gym
7:30-8:00—Teacher presentations in classrooms: Grades K, 1, 2
