Hi Upham Families,

This year we will be having field day, yay!!  Although it may look a little different than in years past, it’s still going to be a super fun day for all the kids.  A few of the changes include-

  • No parent volunteers
  • Students will be staying in their cohorts (classes)
  • No pizza or popsicles

All students will be receiving an awesome “Upham” t-shirt, that has been generously donated by the Upham PTO.  Students will wear their shirts on Field Day.  They should be receiving their shirts in the next week or so.  We will be having a “picnic style” lunch, so please pack your child a bagged lunch, or they may also buy lunch from the school cafeteria.  Please use the checklist below to make sure your child will have a fun and successful day!  If you have any questions, feel free to contact me at walshkr@wellesleyps.org.

Field Day Reminders:

Tuesday, June 8th (rain date- Thursday, June 10)                  

Please remember to send your child to school with the following:

  • sunscreen already applied
  • wearing sneakers (No sandals please!)
  • loose comfortable clothing (a t-shirt will be provided)
  • bagged lunch if you choose
  • a reusable water bottle (with name on it!)
  • disposable snack (ie. granola bar) (with name on it!)

End of Year Activities

Field Day – June 8th with a rain date of June 10th

Technology Turn In – We will be collecting all student iPads, WPS charging cable & block keyboard, and cases on Monday, June 7th

Lost and Found – A table will be put by the front doors on Monday the 14th and Tuesday the 15th.  Please stop by and take a look.  Anything left will be donated to charity on Wednesday the 16th

Moving on Ceremony – We will be having our fifth grade moving on ceremony on Wednesday the 15th.  Information will be sent out to fifth-grade families this week.

FULL DAY Wednesday the 16th – dismissal at 3:06

Clap Out – Clap out for our fifth graders will be done on Thursday the 17th at 11:50.   The fifth graders will come out of the second-grade doors and walk around the building to the front doors.  Staff and students will line the way along the building and parents can line the way opposite of staff and students.

Medication – If your child has medication in the Health Office, please call Ann Warmington to schedule a pick-up

*LAST DAY 6/17 NOON DISMISSAL!!!!
