TODAY IS DAY 1
Back to School Night is tonight from 6:30 until 9:00pm.
Please remind your parents and we hope to see them here!
* A schedule was sent home to you electronically. Please plan to access this schedule on your device tonight, or bring a paper copy. There is a map of the school at the bottom
of the schedule.
* The evening starts promptly at 6:30pm. Should you arrive early, we welcome you to wait in our cafeteria. At 6:20pm, we will ask all parents to proceed to the classrooms.
* Parking can be challenging. Shuttle buses will run from the Sprague School parking lot starting at 5:45pm and ending at 9:15pm. Shuttle buses will run out of our Donizetti Street entrance
for drop-off and pick-up.
* Due to safety concerns, parking will be monitored by our WPD.
* The Spirit Wear store will also be open at 6:15pm and then again at 9:00pm. Please stop by to buy all of your Raiders wear!
*8th Graders: Today is the Museum of Science presentation assembly in the auditorium called: Dynamic Earth: Heat Flow. Report to your class that period first, then
your teachers will walk you to the auditorium.
Presentation 1 will be from 9:50 – 10:50am, (period 3 into period 4). Team M and Team S. Presentation 2 will be from 12:55 – 1:55pm, (period6 into period 7). Team W and Team WMS.
Because of the assemblies, some room locations have changed today:
Period 3 – Ms. Fine’s Drama class to room #309
Period 4 – Ms. Fine’s Drama class to Band room #335
Period 5 – Ms. Fine’s Drama class to Orchestra room #333
Periods 6 & 7 – Ms. Wheeler’s General Music classes to room #347
Period 6 – Ms. Haddock’s Reading class to room #319
Period 7 – Ms. Haddock’s Reading class to room #305
TEAM W is SWITCHING PERIOD 3 and PERIOD 6 today
* The BRCC Barton Road Community Center tutoring program will not run today due to Back to School night. Please make sure you come see us next week.
* Math Team will meet this afternoon in room 308 for returning 7th & 8th grade members only. We need to prepare for our first meet!
* Aladdin rehearsal will take place this afternoon in the auditorium. Please check the schedule to see if you are called.
*Attention 8th graders: Counselors will be doing a lesson in English classes tomorrow. The topic is Leadership. Signs will be posted outside of your English classroom tomorrow morning instructing you which classroom to go to during English class.
INTRAMURALS TODAY
* Fitness Center is open for Grades 7 & 8 only. Open Gym is in Gym B and is open to all WMS students.
