Daily Announcements

Today is Day 1

* WMS will be closed this Monday, November 12th in observance of Veteran’s Day. Please

   make sure that you take everything home with you today that you will need to work on

   over the weekend, as the school building will be closed on Monday.

* Term 1 Report cards can be accessed by your parents/guardians electronically after the

  end of the school day today. Report cards will be available via your parents/guardian

  Portal account. Grades and comments are in two different tabs, so please be sure to

  view both.

* Attention 6th, 7th and 8th graders: Do you like Geography? Does competition get you

  excited? If so, we have an event for you! On Tuesday, November 20th, the whole school

  will be doing the preliminaries for the National Geographic Geography Bee. The top 10

  finishers overall will participate in the school finals in December. If you want to

  practice or see what kinds of questions are being asked, you have a Geography Bee

  app on your iPad. Your social studies teachers will give more details in the days to come.

* Boys Interested in playing Ice Hockey: There will be an information meeting today after

  school at 2:30pm in the cafeteria.

* iPads for Parent’s Evening will be held this Tuesday, November 13th from 6:30 – 8:00pm

  in the cafeteria. This event is for your parents/guardians to come and learn more about

  iPads and how they are used at WMS.

* Looking ahead: The Fitness & Health staff is very excited for our 22nd Annual Turkey

  Promenade on Wednesday, November 21st. More details to follow.
