Are you curious about what some people in our WMS community are commemorating today? Today is Yom Hashoah, or Holocaust Remembrance Day. Many people in the United States observe Holocaust Remembrance Day. According to the U.S. Holocaust Museum, it is a day “to honor the six million Jewish victims of the Holocaust and millions of other victims of Nazism and to develop educational programs to help prevent future genocides.” On Holocaust Remembrance Day, we honor the 6 million Jewish victims of the Nazis as well as the millions of other victims and we also remember that the choices people make matter in helping or hurting others.
Lost and found is piling up again. Please check the table outside the main office for any items you may have lost. Older items may be donated over the April break.
Tuesday Jazz Band is canceled after school today.
7th grade students in Ms. Moore’s tutoring program, please report directly to the library after school today.
The bus to Boston will leave at 3:30 today. The late bus in Wellesley also leaves at 3:30. All students need to listen for the PA announcements for their departure from WMS.
Have a good day everyone!
Please note that the daily announcements are sometimes subject to change during the school day. When this happens the announcements will be updated on the website and on the video screen in the WMS lobby, but a new email will not be sent.
