We would like to give a shout out to the 36 students and 5 chaperones for participating in the field trip to Québec City this past weekend. The group did meaningful and fun activities that included a visit to the Consul General; a tour of city sites; theater productions and re-enactments; and a maple syrup tour and dancing at a Canadian Sugar Shack. A special thank you to Madame Blouwolff for her organization of the trip and Madame Abdemoula for her leadership to and from Québec City.
It’s time for another Library Question of the Week, all about WMS! “What was the school musical this past fall?” Submit your answer by scanning the QR code outside the library. A winner will be announced on Friday. Good luck!
Are you curious about what some people in our WMS community will be celebrating starting today? It is the Muslim holiday of Eid al Adha. Eid al-Adha, also known as the Festival of Sacrifice, is one of the most important holidays in Islam. It commemorates the story of the Prophet Ibrahim (Abraham), who showed great faith and devotion to God. The holiday is marked by special prayers, sharing meals with family and friends, and giving to those in need. We wish all people at WMS observing this holiday “Eid Mubarak.”
7th grade students in Ms. Moore’s tutoring program, please report directly to the library after school today.
The bus to Boston will leave at 3:30 today. The late bus in Wellesley also leaves at 3:30. All students need to listen for the PA announcements for their departure from WMS.
Have a good day everyone!
Please note that the daily announcements are sometimes subject to change during the school day. When this happens the announcements will be updated on the website and on the video screen in the WMS lobby, but a new email will not be sent.
