Today at 8:30 a.m. Dr. Ito will be hosting a Meet & Greet in the WMS courtyard for parents and caregivers. So, if you notice adults gathered in front of the school, that is the reason.
Our WMS Back to School Night is Thursday, September 24th, and we are looking for 8th grade students to help guide our guests throughout the building. If you are available on the 24th between 6:15 pm – 8:45 pm, please come to the main office and sign up. We will be selecting our guides at the end of the week.
Are you curious about what some people in our WMS community will be celebrating this weekend? Tonight begins the Jewish holiday of Rosh Hashanah. Rosh Hashanah is the Jewish New Year. It is celebrated for either 1 or 2 days, beginning at sundown the night before. Apples and honey are shared symbolizing hopes for a sweet new year. Rosh Hashanah also begins the 10 most holy days in the Jewish year. You can wish someone a “sweet new year” or a “good new year.”
We wish all people at WMS observing this holiday, a “sweet new year” or a “good new year,” or in Hebrew, “L’Shana Tovah.”
There will be no 3:30 pm bus to Boston today. All students riding to Boston will be taking the 2:30 pm bus. The late bus in Wellesley will leave at 3:30 pm.
