Morning Announcements for Thursday, May 2, 2019

TODAY IS DAY 6

Students: Please remember to lock your lockers! We can’t stress this enough. If you don’t currently have a lock on your locker, please try to get one over the weekend.

If you need help with getting a lock, please stop by the main office.

*6th Graders: You will be taking the MATH MCAS tests both today and tomorrow.  If you share a hallway with 6th graders, please keep your voices down, especially as

  you pass in the halls. All students: Please remember to turn your phones off in your lockers. Good luck, 6th graders!

*All students who have an even day period 5 study hall are to report to the cafeteria at 11:10 am. Ms. Rease will make an announcement to call you down.

*Attention Math Team members: We are having our final Math Team meeting today after school. Anyone who participated in Math Team this

 year is welcome to come and celebrate an amazing year together.

*The Spring play I Love Broc n Roll opens TODAY! There is a 4:30 pm show today and a 7:00 pm show Friday night. All shows are FREE! Hope to see you there!

*Chinese Culture Club will meet today after school in room 249.

*Friday Video Club will be meeting today at 2:30 pm in room 300.

*The BRCC Community Center tutoring program will run today from 4:00 pm – 6:00 pm. You are welcome to drop in to work on assignments, get organized,

  prepare for a test or quiz, or ask questions to the WMS teachers. We hope to see you there!

*Track team has an away meet today at Needham Pollard.

INTRAMURALS:  Yoga is in room 204, Open Gym is in Gym B and the Fitness Center is open to all.

*Today, many people in the US will be observing Holocaust Remembrance Day. According to the US Holocaust Museum, it is a “day to honor the six million Jewish

 victims of the Holocaust and millions of other victims of Nazism and to help prevent further genocides.” Today we honor the six million Jewish victims of the Nazi’s as well

 as the millions of other victims. We also remember that the choices people make matter in helping or hurting people. We hope that by reflecting today, we can ensure greater

 care in our world.
