Today is the final day for the Cradles to Crayons drive. The bin will be picked up this morning, so if you brought any last-minute donations today, we should have received them by now. Thank you to Ms.Taylor and Team W for their efforts, and to everyone who donated to this important cause!
There will be no late bus to Boston today. All students from Boston must take the 2:30 pm bus.
Are you curious about what some people in our WMS community will be celebrating tomorrow? Friday starts the Hindu festival of Diwali. Diwali is the 4 or 5-day festival of lights, and it is celebrated by Hindus, Sikhs, Jains and some Buddhists and Muslims as well. The festival signifies the victory of light over darkness or good over evil. The celebration includes millions of lights shining on housetops, outside doors and windows, around temples and other buildings in the communities and countries where it is observed. The festival typically extends over a five-day period, but the main festival night of Diwali coincides with the darkest, new moon night of the Hindu lunar month. We wish all people at WMS observing this holiday, “Happy Diwali.”
Have a good day everyone!
