Hello Hardy families,

*On Tuesday, we had the December Dash Walk and Bike to School Day. Kudos to Fitness & Health teacher Mr. Guzzi for planning this special day for our community.

*On Wednesday, Hardy students sang to residents at the Elizabeth Seton facility as part of a community service project. Kudos to music teacher Mr. Corcoran for leading students in singing and to parent Erika Field for coordinating.

*On Friday, we had a special School Spirit Day- tie dye and pattern day. Students enjoyed wearing some bright and interesting patterns to school. 

*On Friday, we had our Winter Concert. Kudos to Mr. Corcoran for preparing students for this performance. They did a great job!

Staffing News
*Art teacher Mrs. Kess-Uygungil gave birth to a baby girl last week. Congratulations to Mrs. Kess-Uygungil and her husband on the birth of their new addition. Mrs. Kess is planning to be out for the remainder of the school year.

*Special Educator Mrs. Hendrickson gave birth to a baby girl last week. Congratulations to Mrs. Hendrickson and her husband on the birth of their new addition. Mrs. Hendrickson is planning to be out through the middle of March.

Staffing Updates
*Mr. Rich Messitt has been hired by the town to serve as the afternoon/night custodian to replace Mr. Chris Seaver who recently retired. We welcome Mr. Messitt to Hardy!

*Mrs. Maurren Pulice has been hired as the substitute to take Mrs. Hendrickson’s place during her maternity leave. We welcome Mrs. Pulice to Hardy!

*We’re currently in the process of interviewing for an art substitute for Mrs. Kess-Uygungil and hope to have someone in place soon. Once this person is identified and hired, I’ll let everyone know.

Spirit Day
We’ll be having our School Spirit Day for the month of December this upcoming Friday. Students are invited to wear their Hardy and Hawks gear to school.
