Schofield School

Go Hawks

Hello Schofield Families,

We had a busy week returning from the April break.  On Monday, our fourth graders visited the Lowell Mills to learn about the Industrial Revolution.  Students unpacked luggage to examine cultural artifacts, participated in a “town meeting” and visited a 19th-century boardinghouse.  Students were engaged and curious throughout the trip.  Thanks to the PTO, parent volunteers and teachers who made this experience possible.

2023 Day of Imagineering:
Schofield’s Day of Imagineering is Wednesday, May 3rd!  I filmed a short video for your children to enjoy.  We need MANY adult volunteers to help the students bring their creations to life.  Click here to sign up.

Rob Evans, Ed.D:
There is no harder job than being a parent.  Nothing else touches so much of a person so deeply or so unredictably — and there is no training for it.  This was true pre-Covid, as the pace of life acceslerated, media influences intensified, and the future grew less predictable.  So it isno wonder we now find it even harder to be confident in knowing how to strengthen our children’s resilience — and our own as parents.  Dr. Rob Evans will outline these dilemmas and offer concrete suggestions for coping and building resilience in our children.  Please use this link to register your child for the open gym time.

Message from Nurse Miller:
Please remember to pack snacks.  Students seem in need of snacks on Wednesday mornigns with the half day.  Also, with the pollen season in high gear, please give allergy medicine and/or eye drops before school.  Thank you!
