Purpose
The purpose of the SSC shall be to serve as the central advisory of the school. The goal of shared decision making is to create a climate in the schools where the faculty, parents, administration, and other community participants working together share the responsibility and accountability for school improvement, better student performance, increased satisfaction among professional educators, greater involvement by and with parents, and stronger support from the community at large. The SSC operates as a single decision-making team, not as a group of spokespersons representing constituent groups. Their role is to work together to find good solutions to the educational problems confronting the school.
Authority
The role of the council shall be:
To lead using the district vision, mission, core values

- Cooperative and Caring Relationships
To create a school improvement plan within guidelines established by the superintendent. This includes reviewing district goals, creating a data overview, and examining and analyzing data to determine needs and create/tune our plan for continued improvement.
