Schofield School

Go Hawks

Dear Schofield Families,

Thank you to our PTO for such a wonderfully fun Halloween Dance last Friday night.  It was awesome to see so many families in attendance.  And the costumes were truly impressive!  Please remember to send pictures of your ghosts and goblins (or Wednesday Addams which seemed to be very popular) to the yearbook committee at schofieldyearbook24@gmail.com.

The surprisingly warm weather was a great way to end the week. I was fortunate to be able to spend much of my day today in classrooms observing really impactful teaching and learning at high levels.  Third graders had the opportunity to show off all they have learned in their fictional reading unit about character traits and development.  Fifth graders collaborated on solving problems about volume and kindergarten students counted pumpkin seeds on a scavenger hunt around their classrooms.  Despite the warm weather, it was a very productive end to the week.

Parent/teacher conferences are underway.  Please make sure you have signed up for a time so you can hear about how your child is doing here at school.  This is a collaborative conversation and we look forward to meeting with you.  Just a reminder that Wednesday and Thursday will be early release days next week for conferences.

In addition to raking leaves this weekend, my crew has softball and basketball games lined up in addition to a couple of birthday parties.  It will be a busy one!  I hope you have a fantastic fall weekend ahead.

Best,

Jordan
