Dear Schofield Families,
We had a great week here at Schofield. One highlight was having our entire school Zoom with Dr. Merritt Moore on Wednesday to help us celebrate National Computer Science Education Week. Dr. Moore spoke about how STEAM helped her follow her passions by combining science, coding, art and dance. She communicated an important message to students about never giving up. Thanks to WPS and the Wellesley Hills Junior Women’s Club for brining Dr. Moore to Schofield this week.
Dibels Assessment:
Back at parent/teacher conferences in the fall, parents and caregivers of students in grades K-3 received information about your child’s mastery of phonics and phonemic awareness concepts. On the sheet you took home, it noted that December was the next reporting date, however WPS has changed the date to more closely match our midyear benchmarking assessments. Parents and caregivers can expect communication about their child’s results when reports cards are shared toward the end of January.
