Dear Sprague Community,

Thank you so much to all who have already sent in food donations for the Food Drive. We will see just how much we have collected on Friday and send it off to the Food Pantry afterwards. Thanks to our 5th grade helpers and 5th grade parent coordinator, Katy Comstock.

With the warmer weather, students will want to have a water bottle each day in school. It is a good idea to consider sunscreen and a hat on the really warm days. Our AC has not totally kicked in yet, but we expect it to soon! We are the lucky ones here at Sprague!

We do have a number of Field Trips on the schedule in the near future. I am aware that there has been some ‘buzz’ about the district Field Trip Consent Form. To provide some background, the form was not new, but we became aware that it had not been used as consistently as we had thought. Some of you may have signed this form in the past and some may have never seen it. The form has been revised to be more specific to individual field trips. The recent revisions were made in response to feedback the district received from some parents. The Wellesley Public Schools require us to have a signed form for each child attending a field trip. If this feels new to you, please see the attached letter from Assistant Superintendent, Judy Belliveau.

Our cafeteria recycling program has been a BIG success! We are so pleased to be reducing our trash and recycling more. The Sprague Green Team would like to celebrate with a student raffle on May 26th. Students who recycle that day will get a sticker and be entered into a raffle to have a chance at a small prize.
