Hello. Only in New England is it cold and rainy one weekend and the next there is a heat wave that causes schools to close early!
As stated by the Superintendent this evening, WPS will have scheduled 1/2 days on Monday and Tuesday due to the predicted temperatures. The elementary schools will be dismissed on Monday and Tuesday at 12:00 pm. There will be no lunches on these days.
Wednesday, June 9th will be a regularly scheduled 1/2 day with dismissal at 12:00. Thursday and Friday of this week are scheduled and planned to be full days due to a break in the temperatures.
Please have students bring in water bottles. May I suggest freezing the water bottle tonight allowing the water to be extra cold.
Our Field Day for grades 4/5 remains scheduled for Wednesday, June 9th with a newly scheduled date of June 10th for grades K/1 and 2/3.
Thank you for your great flexibility this year! With just 8.5 days remaining, there is always a twist.
