Dear Sprague Families,
As goes the first day, so goes the rest of the year! It was a great first day so that means we are in for an amazing school year.
Thank you for being present this morning and there will be a day when we can resume our Opening Ceremony. Thank you to all of the Sprague staff for their hard work in preparing for the opening and ensuring it was a smooth and happy day for all students. It is a pleasure to welcome our new kindergartners and all our new students/families. Welcome to your new home! Each is in great hands.
Once again, thank you for your support and understanding of me during this difficult time. It has been a challenge for me not being in active communication and/or actively present, and I send my apologies. It was a pleasure seeing supportive faces (both students and adults) and is exactly what I needed.
Thursday, September 2nd – Morning Arrival
- Due to impending inclement weather, we plan to hoist the “indoor flag” outside tomorrow morning
- The “indoor flag” denotes all students will enter the building between 8:15 am and 8:30 am versus waiting outside for the day to begin
- Once students enter the building in the morning, students will go directly to classrooms and sit/stand in the hallway outside the classroom
- At 8:30 am, students will enter the classroom
Friday, September 3rd and Beyond – Morning Arrival
- Please review the attached document outlining this year’s logistics/procedures for health and safety reasons
- Please review the identified grade level location during the morning arrival time – 8:15 am – 8:30 am
- Students can mingle with their grade level classmates, but our goal is to avoid mingling with other grade levels, at this time

New Absence Reporting System
- WPS will be implementing a Google absence reporting for this year
- Sprague will be using this form for absences only
- Please complete this form every day that your child is absent

My Absence
- In order to tend to family business as a result of the loss of my mother, I will be out of the building with a return date of September 13th
- I will do my best to return pending emails and calls as soon as possible – again, thank you
