Dear Upham and Hunnewell Parents,
Hello Everyone! Wellesley Public Schools is in the process of updating its strategic plan. Incorporating feedback from students, staff, parents, and community members is essential to chart the district’s course for the future. To this end, over the next month, WPS will be hosting a series of focus groups for our stakeholders, which a district-wide survey will follow. Below are the dates and times for each session. If you have any questions, please contact the Upham office.
PK-5 Sessions:
Tuesday, October 25th, from 3:30-5 pm at the WMS Library
Wednesday, October 26th, from 3:30-5 pm at the WMS Library
6-12 Sessions:
Tuesday, October 25th, from 2:45-4:15 at the WHS Library
Wednesday, October 26th, from 2:45-4:15 at the WHS Library
MCAS
We will provide a night for parents to come and review the MCAS results for Upham Elementary. If you are interested in understanding the implementation, test procedures, and school results, please join us on Tuesday, November 1, at 7:00 PM in the school gym.
THE NEW HARDY
I want to begin to provide updates on the transition plan for the NEW HARDY.
Grant Smith (Hardy Principal), Kat Bernklow (Special Education Director), Jeffrey Benson (Consultant), and I will be meeting on Thursday, November 3, to begin to formulate a transition plan for moving into the NEW HARDY. Although this is very early, I want to keep you informed about the process and implementation of our transitioning plan. Please stay tuned.
