The inaugural Upham Color Dash is here! On Saturday, May 14 we will get to experience a wonderful way to have fun, build community and raise some money for the Upham School Community. It will be a win-win for everyone involved.
Color runs are inspired by the Hindu festival of Holi. The Hindu festival celebrates spring, love, and new life. Some families hold religious ceremonies, but for many, Holi is more of a time for fun. It’s a colorful festival, with dancing, singing, and throwing of powder paint and colored water. Holi is also known as the “festival of colors”.
It is an easy fun run with six stations along the two-mile-long course, participants will be showered with food-grade colored powder, finishing the run covered in a rainbow of colors. The celebration continues at the finish line, with music, food, and entertainment for the entire family.
The Upham Color Dash is an event that celebrates our core values of Community, Respect, Caring Relationships, and Excellence in Education. Come celebrate with us and shower each other with the rainbow!
Upham Color Dash Logistics
This is NOT a drop-off event. Please do not drop off your child. We will be relying on you to supervise your child. The date is Saturday, May 15. We will begin the event at 9:00 AM. It is an easy fun run with six stations along the mile-long course (two laps complete the run).
Parking will be provided in the Dukes area, the basketball court in front of the school, designated parking areas on the perimeter of the basketball court, and along Wynnewood and Lowell.
