Morning Announcements for Wednesday, September 5, 2018
TODAY IS DAY 5
* The last day for schedule changes is today, Wednesday, September 5th. Please see your guidance counselor by the end of the day today if you need to discuss a schedule change.
* Are you a new student to the Wellesley Middle School this year? If so, the WMS Parent/Teacher organization has a fun event for you to attend this Friday right after school. Friday after school, please go out the
back door of the school, (Donizetti street side parking lot) and meet everyone on the path that leads to Sprague field, (in front of the tennis courts). There will be activities, snacks and treats! Feel free to bring your
friends (either new or returning students). There is a late bus which leaves at 3:30pm that you can take after this event.
* 7th or 8th graders: do you arrive at WMS early in the morning? If yes, please consider becoming a Pass Deliverer. Pass deliverers come to the guidance suite in the morning and deliver passes to classrooms.
On Fridays, guidance counselors provide a treat for pass deliverers to enjoy! Please see your guidance counselor for more information.
SPORTS NEWS
* 8th grade Girls Volleyball tryouts will be held today, Thursday and Friday after school in Gym A from 3:00 – 4:30pm. Following tryouts, practices will begin on Tuesday, September 11th in Gym A from 3:00 – 4:15pm.
* All 8th Grade Girls interested in playing field hockey, please meet the coaches in front of school today at 3:00. You will walk over together to the field for the first practice. If you haven’t signed up yet, coaches
will have registration forms to give you, and there are also forms in the office.
*Cross Country Track does not practice on Wednesdays.
*Intramurals will start in a couple weeks. More details will be sent as time gets closer.
