TODAY IS DAY 6
* Wednesday, November 21st is an early release day and WMS will close at 11:19am for the Thanksgiving Holiday. School will also be closed from Thursday, November 22nd through Monday, November 26th,
for students. Faculty will have a professional day on Monday. WMS will reopen on Tuesday, November 27th.
* It’s ALMOST HERE! The 22nd Annual WMS Turkey Promenade is Wednesday. On Wednesday, homerooms will bring all of the items that they have collected for the women’s shelter, Voices Against Violence and the
Wellesley Food Pantry to Gym B.. This event will provide necessary items for families in the area throughout the year. Set a donation goal with your homeroom and if all 53 homerooms meet their goal, we
will have a schoolwide “no homework” day in 2019! More details to come!

* Tomorrow the entire school will be doing preliminaries for the National Geographic Geography Bee! The top 10 finishers overall will participate in the school finals in December. If you want to practice, you have a
Geography Bee app. on your iPad. Your Social Studies teachers will make sure you have all the details you need for this great event. Good Luck!
* Do you write, draw or design? Have you been working on something that you would like to share with a larger audience? Well, the WMS Literary Magazine Club is currently accepting submissions until November
30th. Any work can be submitted to the magazine by placing a hard copy in the Literary Magazine’s submission box location on the door of room 215. The Literary Club looks forward to seeing your work!
*SMILE DAY is coming to WMS! The WMS 2nd Annual Smile Day will be happening on Friday, November 29th. Students, here’s your chance to design and create your own WMS dress code appropriate

* It’s ALMOST Show Time! The WMS Musical, Aladdin, Jr. will be held in the WMS Auditorium from November 29th – December 1st. More details to follow!
* The spring musical auditions are around the corner, and the show will be High School Musical, Jr.! All 6th and 8th grade students are encouraged to audition. Students can pick up an audition packet from
Ms. Fine or Ms. Speed, at the board outside the drama room, or on the WMS Drama website. Auditions will be December 12 and 13th.
