Morning Announcements for Tuesday, November 20, 2018
TODAY IS DAY 1
* Just a reminder, tomorrow is an Early Release Day and WMS will close at 11:29am for the Thanksgiving holiday. WMS will be closed from Thursday, November 22 – Monday, November 26th for students.
Faculty will have a professional day on Monday. WMS will reopen on Tuesday, November 27th.
* The 22nd Annual WMS Turkey Promenade is tomorrow. Please make sure to bring in your donations to your homeroom. Check to make sure that none of the food is expired. Your homeroom classes will be
bringing all of the food that was collected to Gym B on Wednesday morning: 8:00AM (7th Grade), 9:00am (8th Grade) and 10:00am (6th Grade). After that, Mrs. Frazier will walk you briefly around the school.
You will then enter Gym B for music and a picture, so have your pose ready for the Art Department. We will finish down in the cafe with bagels.
Don’t forget to have your homeroom set a donation goal, and if all 52 homerooms
meet their goal, we will have a school wide “no homework” day in 2019!
* Students; today the entire school will be doing preliminaries for the National Geographic Geography Bee! The top 10 finishers overall will participate in the school finals in December.
The WMS Gay-Straight Alliance will meet today during all 3 lunches:
* 6th Grade GSA will meet in room 225
* 7th Grade will meet in room 229
* 8th Grade will meet in room 351

* Come support your fellow classmates in Aladdin, Jr.! There are two fantastic casts and we hope that you can see both! Cast A, starring Josh Musikavanhu as Aladdin, Sophia Bogdanovitch as Jasmine,
Myles Chandler as the Gene, and many other fantastic 7th & 8th grade stars will perform on Thursday, Nov. 29th at 4:30pm, Friday, November 30th at 7:00pm and Saturday, December 1st at 7:00pm.
Cast B, starring Tyler Lack as Aladdin, Julia Pekowitz as Jasmine, and Emily Prus as the Gene and many other stars will perform on Saturday at 2:00pm.
* The Tenacity Challenge Club will not be meeting after school today. Be ready to meet next Tuesday to work on the Leadership project!
