Today is Tuesday September 21 th and it’s day 6.

Korean and Chinese Harvest Festivals:

Are you curious about what some people in our WMS community will be celebrating today? Today there are two major harvest holidays that people will be celebrating: the Mid-Autumn festival in China, East and South-East Asia, and Chuseok in Korea.

The mid-autumn festival, or Moon Festival, is a family-centered holiday celebrating togetherness and a good harvest. Moon cakes are foods often eaten at this festival.

Chuseok is the harvest festival that also honors and celebrates deceased ancestors.

There are students and their families at WMS who will be observing one of these holidays. We wish all people at WMS observing these holidays, a happy Mid-Autumn Festival, and Happy Chuseok.
