It’s time for another Library Question of the Week! This week’s question: On April 12, 1961, Yuri Gagarian became the first person in space. “What was the name of his spacecraft?” Submit your answer by scanning the QR code outside the library. A winner will be announced on Friday. Good luck!

Are you curious about what some people in our WMS community will be celebrating?  Today begins the New Year celebration in South East Asia. New Year in South East Asia is celebrated based on the astrological event of the sun beginning its northward journey. Traditional dance, singing and cultural shows are performed together during the festival. Young people usually visit elders to pay respect during this holiday. We wish all people at WMS observing this holiday a “Happy New Year.”

Lost and found is piling up again. Please check the table outside the main office for any items you may have lost. Older items may be donated over the April break.

Science Olympiad 8th graders: Today after school, members of the WHS Science Olympiad team will be visiting to tell you about the High School club in Room 252 at 2:40 pm. 

6th grade students in Ms. Moore’s tutoring program, please report directly to the library after school today.

The bus to Boston will leave at 3:30 today.  The late bus in Wellesley also leaves at 3:30. All students need to listen for the PA announcements for their departure from WMS.
