Schofield School
Go Hawks
Hello Schofield Families,
First and foremost, I want to extend a heartfelt thank you to the Schofield PTO for making Teacher Appreciation Week incredible! Each day, there was an abundance of treats and goodies in the staff room and on Wednesday, the fifth graders, dressed in black tuxedo t-shirts, served the staff a delicious lunch. We feel very fortunate for all of the support not only this week, but throughout the year. We thank you!
Welcome New Schofield Families!
On Wednesday evening we welcomed our incoming kindergarten families to Schofield at Kindergarten Orientation. It feels like yesterday that my twins started kindergarten and I was reminded this week of how fast time flies. The days can feel long, but the years are definitely short! We recognize that transitions can come with a range of emotions for both children and adults and we are all here to provide the necessary supports and reassurance.
Third Grade Recorder Extravaganza
Bravo to our third graders who performed the Recorder Extravaganza for our entire school and third grade families on Thursday. They were fabulous! Thanks to Mr. Polletto and all of the teachers who prepared students for this special performance. It was heartwarming to see them beaming with pride after the concert. Thanks to all of the families who attended and celebrated our third graders.
From Nurse Miller:
Hello Families! Our Schofield students are active and growing! Just a gentle reminder to pack snacks for your children. I’m seeing a large volume of children who either do not have a snack from home or who are still hungry after having their snack. Thanks for your help!
Mother’s Day:
This Mother’s Day, as we celebrate the remarkable mothers in our Schofield community, let us also hold space for those who are struggling. I recognize that this day can be really challenging for some. Thank you for being such a compassionate, sensitive and caring community.
Have a wonderful weekend.
