Welcome Back Upham Community!
Wow! What a crazy world we are living in now. With many stops, starts, and redos I believe we are ready to return to another wonderful year at Upham Elementary. Why do I say, “Wonderful?” In a “normal year” Upham is a vibrant and wonderful place for students and their families. I strongly believe that we now have an unbelievable opportunity to meet the needs of our students at a very high level. We started this journey with 203 students and now we are going to have approximately 155 students(it changes daily) for our hybrid. With such small numbers and all of our teachers returning we will seize this opportunity. I know I am very excited to see our new kindergarten friends and all of our 1st through 5th friends as well. So, WELCOME BACK!
PowerSchool Portal
The PowerSchool Portal will be open next Tuesday, September 8 at 12:00 PM. You will be able to access the assigned teacher and cohort. You will NOT be able to see the entire class. As stated above all of the Upham classroom teachers have returned and there are no changes to report. Thank goodness! There are changes to our Librarian and music. Our new librarian is Jon Haycock. He grew up in Wellesley and actually helped at Upham during his senior year. Please welcome Jon in his new position. Our new music teacher is Alexandra Deitrich. She is a vibrant new teacher who grew up in the Philadelphia area. She is a Beatles fan! Please welcome Alex to Upham!

I know that you have all been waiting on these. Please find the lists attached. Once you receive the teacher assignment those teachers might have some additional items. One thing that we will be asking is for each child to bring a beach towel each day. They will need it to sit on during lunch (we will be outside during good weather days).

Please understand that this is going to be a moving target and things are changing daily. We will be sending out a ZOOM meeting invite next week along with a detailed letter outlining the details for arrival and dismissal. We will also place the details on our website for your reference.
