  • Description: DECA is an international organization that prepares emerging leaders and entrepreneurs for careers in marketing, finance, hospitality, and management. Our chapter is a space for students with a shared interest in business to connect with their peers and learn from, and alongside others. DECA is a competition-based club where students can learn real-world business skills like case studies (role plays), preparing and presenting pitches, etc. In 2023-2024, we had over 40 competitors at the district level, 5 at states, and 4 at the international competition in Anaheim, CA.   • Description: Dreamfar is a non-competitive, fun and inclusive running program where all WPS students are welcome and no previous running experience is required! The club is a guided training program created and supervised by certified coaches to empower and support students in tackling a significant goal, which can range from learning how to run and train with peers all the way up to completing a half or full marathon. Students learn the positive life-long benefits of running for physical, mental, and social health and receive guidance in all aspects of running including cardiovascular training, nutrition, stretching, and proper strength training with a team of peers from WPS as well as fellow students from other surrounding towns.
