Description: Key Club provides our members with opportunities to serve, build character, and develop leadership. In partnership with our local Kiwanis club, Kiwanis Club of Wellesley, high school students are making a positive impact as they serve others in the Wellesley community. A wide variety of volunteer opportunities are available to local town organizations. Students are encouraged to participate throughout the whole year and new members are always welcome to join at any time.
Description: WHS students teach STEM or coding after school at a Wellesley elementary school. The Kickstart STEM classes run in the fall, winter and spring. Each season consists of eight classes which are an hour long. WHS students will instruct elementary school students in hands-on STEM activities or teach code in Scratch or Python.
Description: Our mission is to provide children in the Boston area, who don't have access to as many resources, receive the support they need to better their future. Kids Helping Kids plans to have club members virtually tutor underprivileged students in various subjects. The club also plans to support low-income families in the area through community service projects including but not limited to hygiene and holiday kits (funded through bake sales and donations) and clothing drives. Not only does KHK hope to help underprivileged students but we also hope to raise awareness and encourage students to get involved in helping our peers from other communities.
